New Delhi: A day back when Bal Thackeray's Shiv Sena decided not to oppose Shahrukh Khan's upcoming release 'My Name Is Khan', It seemed that All Izz well for the film and SRK in Maharashtra. But Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Monday appeared to back the Shiv Sena by calling for a nationwide boycott of the film over SRK's comment for the inclusion of Pakistani players in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Though VHP took objection to the Sena's Mumbai-for-Marathis stand and said every inch of India belonged to all Indians but what's the matter with IPL statement?
Let's see what VHP general secretary Pravin Togadia said on this:
"People of India must boycott 'My Name is Khan' as Shah Rukh Khan is a traitor. He is a Pakistani agent."
Togadia threatened that posters of the film would be torn down.
It was Interesting to see that the radical VHP leader didn't support Sena on 'Mumbai only for Marathis' issue.
The VHP leader believes that every inch of India belongs to all Indians and every Indian has the right to stay with dignity in any part of the country... "Mumbai, Delhi, and even Kashmir is for all Indians," he said.
"India can't survive on this theory," he added.
"My Name is Khan", starring Shah Rukh and Kajol, is set to be released this Friday. Let's see what happens when the film releases!
