Kolkata: With the participation of seven foreign countries and Bangladesh being selected as the focus country, the 23rd Industrial India Trade Fair will be held from December 24 to January 3.
The fair is being jointly organised by the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BNCCI) and the West Bengal Government in association with Indian Trade Promotion Organisation(ITPO).
Announcing this here today, BNCCI President S K Ghosh said the theme of the fair would be 'climate change and renewable energy'.
Besides Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Vietnam and Bhutan will be the foreign participants, he said.
A large number of business meets including workshops, seminars, district meets and vendor development programmes would be organised by the fair committee.
Mr.Ghosh said the display would focus among other things, on engineering, including electrical and electronics telecommunications, chemicals and petrochemicals, construction equipment and materials, environment including pollution control devices, packaging, food processiing, education, textiles, plastic, health care, consumer durables and banking.
Leading public and private sector companies in the areas of industry, infrastrucre, technology and services from India and overseas countries would participate in the show. MSMEs and some reputed educational institutes would also participate in the fair.
