New Delhi: It was outlandish for Megastar Amitabh Bachchan who worked with actor Shashi Kapoor as co-star in "Trishul", "Deewar" and several other blockbuster movies, observed him on wheelchair at the Filmfare awards last week.
He had to confer the Filmfare lifetime achievement to the 71-year-old actor, but was not present at the function. Later he came to know the veracity when he saw the pictures of the event.
He has commented through his blog that he had been requested by the Filmfare editor to honour him the award and failed to manage his presence but he never want him to see in such condition as he witnessed through pictures. He also wrote that it was his keen desire to present him award more than the excitement to win the best actor award for his film ‘Paa’.
"Shashi Kapoor, that handsome gentle man. A smile on his face forever. A considerate calling on each meeting, now in this condition? Never," he added.
