Blue Dart flight makes emergency landing
Chennai: The pilot, co-pilot and two staff members of Blue Dart had a miraculous escape when the Blue Dart flight made an emergency landing here shortly after midnight last night.
The cargo flight, a Boeing 737, which took off for Hyderabad at midnight from old airport here, had to return shotly following a technical snag.
Soon after the take off the pilot noticed black smoke emanating from tail end of the aircraft and alerted the Air Traffic Control (ATC). As advised by the Air Traffic Control the pilot made an emergency landing at around 0035 hrs.
The cargo was immediately off-loaded and other aircraft took off at 0530 hrs.
