Bangalore: India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) would host, first International Conference on Electronic Warfare, EWCI 2010 for two days from tomorrow, Dr U K Revankar, Director, Defence Avionics Research Establishment (DARE) informed here today.
Speaking to newsmen Dr Revankar said that about 100 technical papers, half of them from overseas countries would be presented on the occasion in which over 400 delegates would participate/ He said that about 11 countries, including Israel, U.K, Italy, France are participating besides featuring 60 exhibition stalls from various parts of the globe displaying state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare products.
He said the the Conference was expected to throws up amble of opportunities to develop business partnership for the development of EW Systems, with advanced Countries which will further enhance the expertise in the Country.
He said that the Conference is being held to increase country's strength in EW, to expand vistas to provide effective solutions, share the experience with the developed nations and to establish the partnership for success in EW.
"The Conference agenda has been carefully selected to address current and future needs of the operational users, planners, developers, procurers, testers and trainers of the latest EW Technologies and Systems".
Stating that "EW: Partnering for success' was the theme of the Conference, he expressed confidence that the event would help in providing technical exposure to Indian Scientific and Industrial community for generating the Business and Partnership opportunities among the International E W community.
