New Delhi: Illegal Telecom towers in the capital and no connection for the users. The Municipal Council of Delhi (MCD) will Tuesday take a call on regularising illegal telecom towers in the capital, an official said Monday.

An MCD sub-committee on framing the policy on erection of cell-towers in the city will submit its report Tuesday.

Ram Kishan Singhal, chairman of the standing committee, Monday held a meeting to discuss the policy on erecting cell towers in the capital.

According to the MCD, there are around 2,500 illegal towers in the national capital which give access for various telecommunication service providers. Around 900 have been served notices and for the remaining permission is pending from the MCD.

In the last week of January, the administration in Delhi's satellite town Noida sealed 125 illegal structures, following which mobile phone users faced a harrowing time with call drops and poor connectivity.
