Dubai: Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has regained the top spot in the ICC ODI Rankings for batsmen. Missing from the top spot for some time, Dhoni replaced Australia's Michael Hussey to regain its top position.
Hussey was on top during Australia's recent series against Pakistan but he didn't play in the final ODI and scored just 23 in the 4th ODI, which made him lost the top spot in the ICC rankings.
Two other Indian batsman including Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag also made it to the top Ten with 6th and 9th spot respectively.
Australian captain Ricky Ponting gained four places and regained a position in the top five, sitting as he does now in fourth spot, just behind South Africa's AB de Villiers.
Star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and opener Gautam Gambhir remained static at the 12th and 19th spot respectively. Left-hander Suresh Raina also managed to make the cut among the top 20 batsmen.
Top 5 Batsmen of ICC ODI Rankings:
M S Dhoni (822 Points), Michael Hussey (821 Points), AB de Villiers (749 Points), Graeme Smith (729 Points), Ricky Ponting (727 Points)
