Jammu: The first pro-freedom party of Kashmir Muslim Conference has once again started its original form. The party was formed by legendary pro-freedom leader of Kashmir, Chaudhry Gulam Abbas, who is considered to be one of the leading founder of Muslim Conference said to be the first political force of state has been revisited ,as some youth of Chenab belt have recently formed Muslim Conference (G) with its headquarters in Poonch. In a press conference held at Ahdoos hotel, Srinagar the representatives of this group dwelled upon their future strategies. Its reigns are in the hands of renowned political activists of Jammu hilly region like Qazi Irshad, Muhammad Umer Malik and Muhammad Hanief Kalas.

While addressing media persons Qazi Irshad, President All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference (Gulam Abbas) said,”Muslim conference believes that the issue of Jammu and Kashmir needs to be resolved in its historical perspective. India has to accept our right to self determination. The nation is continuing its sacrifice. The pro-freedom leaders have never either not been allowed to visit the Chenab belt or they have themselves ignored the Chenab belt”. He also alleged that right wing Hindu organizations like Bajrang Dal and Shivsena are unleashing a reign of terror against the Muslims of Jammu region”.

On being asked by this correspondent on the likely impact of Mughal road project, Qazi Irshad, said, “With the opening of this road the barriers will end and the Muslims of Jammu, who have remained alienated from the Valley for centuries, would be united with their brethren”. Mr Qazi alleged that it was late Sheikh Abdullah, who created divisions between Jammu and Kashmir to rule the state. ''Sheikh Abdullah, who was also one of the members of All J&K Muslim Conference in 1939, floated National Conference later, but with a different ideology,'' Mr Qazi said adding, ''for political supremacy, Sheikh along with former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, hatched a conspiracy to create a wedge between the two regions.''
