Mumbai: Indian HR firm ABC Consultants is said to be launching a new job portal soon.

ABC Consultants already have an online presence. Their website allows jobseekers to register and submit their resumes. Through a job portal, they will also be able to advertise jobs and gain a larger pool of candidates.

Year 2009 was when most job portals would have cursed their choice of business - with companies reeling under recession, jobs were scarce. But 2010 has brought good news for the recruitment industry.

If reports are to be believed, recession is breathing its last and jobs are coming back. ABC Consultants, a big shot in recruitment, has chosen a good time to launch their own job portal.

However, the job portal will differ from the traditional model and will attempt to create its own 'niche'.

In a traditional model, jobseekers get job alerts on the basis of certain keywords in ones profile. This is often done by a bot (like a search engine). On most occasions, this means getting irrelevant job alerts.

ABC consultants will use a different approach to match jobs with candidates. Each candidate will have the luxury of a human counsellor who matches the best job opportunities.

Generally recruiters subscribe to the jobseeker database of job portals and then suggest suitable job matches. Here the entire process will be done at ABC Consultants.
