Chandigarh: Haryana Power Engineers Association has strongly resented the propose backdoor entry of whole time Directors in Uttar Haryana Bidhyut Vitran Nigam (UHBVN).

Sumer Singh Yadav General Secretary of HPEA in a letter to Power Minister Haryana has conveyed the strong resentment prevailing amongst engineers about the possible appointments of retired engineers as whole time Directors at the cost of serving engineers.

The extended tenure of present directors expired on November 15 last and it is understood that some officers are again being given another term and retired officers are being adjusted as whole time Directors of power utility.

The move will only discourage the serving engineers and is not good for power utility. The association has requested the power minister to reverse the policy of giving prime posts to retired officers. The serving engineers can contribute more for the power utility.
