Jaipur: Confident team India will take on strong opponent South Africa in the first one-day international of the three-match series at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium here today.
Beaming with confidence after retaining the top spot in the ICC Test rankings, India will play a young side against the experienced South African team.
Plauged by injuries, team India will miss the services of star opener Gautam Gambhir, all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and pace spearhead Zaheer Khan in the One-day series. And spin star Harbhajan Singh won't be available too as he's to attend his sister's wedding.
May be return of hard-fitting batsman Yusuf Pathan will help team India somewhere.
India will try to get rid of experienced all-rounder Jacques Kallis as soon as possible. He's the one who can make the difference. SA will miss its regular captain Graeme Smith, who has been ruled out from the one-day series due to a finger injury during the Kolkata Test match.
Meanwhile, curator Taposh Chatterjee said the wicket tomorrow will be in favour of the batsmen and that the toss would also be a crucial factor to turn things around.
