Interactive Science Workshop organized in Indore by Madhubun Education Forum.

Indore: An interactive science workshop for elementary teachers sponsored by Madhubun Educational Forum was held at Prestige Public School here, on January 6th, in which 42 teachers from 12 local schools participated. The resource person, Dr. Lalit Kishore, talked about the nature of science, pedagogy of science instruction, features of a good elementary environmental science books. The Headstart Science series was examined by the participants.

A number of low-cost science activities were done and multiple intelligences method of learning science was discussed. Also the idea of coming out of the textbook in the form of worksheets and activity sheets was discussed. Furthermore, the use of simple visuals, cut-outs, stick puppets, velvet chart, pocket charts were demonstrated to make science learning interesting in elementary grades.

The participants reacted positively to the workshop and expressed confidence in emphasizing the process of science in the elementary classes.
