New Delhi: Iran today welcomed the proposed Foreign Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan and expressed willingness to play a role between the two countries to resolve differences.

Tehran also supported India on the issue of 'Good Taliban and Bad Taliban' saying ''there is no good Taliban and bad Taliban. Taliban is Taliban...''

Iranian Ambassador to India, Seyed Mehdi Nabizadeh, said here that Iran had always welcomed direct negotiations between India and Pakistan and hoped that these would succeed much faster.

He said Iran could play a role between India and Pakistan if there was a need.
