It’s never too late to realize your dream
Realise your dream
Realise your dream

New Delhi: When Bollywood actor Boman Irani got Star Screen Award for ‘Best Actor in a negative role’, he said: “it’s never too late to realize your dream. I turned actor when I was 44.” And today, we all know what Baman Irani is?

Let me tell you an interesting story…

I was 16 when I did my 12th. Till then, i didn’t know what I’ll do with my career. As I was a bright student in school, my brother suggested me for Engineering. That time, I thought it was the right thing for me. I started preparing for the entrance exam of Indian Institute of Technology as it was the topmost college in the country.

Few months later, i came to know that I’m not made to be an engineer. But for the sake of my family, I kept preparing. And you won’t believe that I prepared for 2 years but couldn’t clear the entrance exam of IIT.

Frustrated enough from engineering, I took admission in a fashion course. Till this time, anything as a career option wasn’t decided in my mind.

As it wasn’t enough, my family asked me to drop the fashion course as they couldn’t digest the concept of fashion designing (Working all the time with girls, fashion magazines etc).

I wasn’t worried about the wasted 3 years after schooling. I was worried because there was nothing fix that I want to do. Though I always wanted to be popular, but by doing what?

Finally, from my father’s suggestion, I took admission in a Media course. Sooner or later, I found myself made for TV, films, and all that entertainment.

In comparison of Bamn Irani, though I have realized what I have to be very soon, but there is a long way to go where he has reached. So, it’s never too late to realize your dream. Follow your heart and keep moving. Life will be yours. All the best.
