Maoists gun down three police personnel in Orissa

Bhubaneswar: Maoists gunned down three police personnel, including the security guard of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ( JMM) state uni President   and former MP Sudam Marandi, after a football match in  Mayurbhanj district Tuesday evening.

The former MP Sudam Marandi, however, escaped unhurt . Marandi along with some security men were  going for a football match to grace the occasion  as  Chief Guest. They were attacked on their way. From the initial information coming in, two security men have been killed," said Sandhyarani Beuria, officer-in-charge of Chandua police station. The Superintendent of Police Dayal Gangawar rushed the spot .The activists of JMM have blocked the Road.
