Nitish refuses claims of farmer’s suicide in Bihar
Nitish refuses claims of farmer’s suicide in Bihar

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has rejected the claims of farmers' suicides due to maize crops fizzle and declared that the state government will confer Rs 10,000 per hectare of crop damage as subsidy.

Apprising in the state assembly, Nitish asserted that the matter is been investigated by the district agriculture officer and superintendent of police in Katihar that what the reasons were behind farmer’s death. He told that his viscera has been sent for investigation.

 

It is to be said that the farmer Jagdish Sharma found dead as he gulped the pesticide during spray to his field.
