Kolkata: Making clear directive to the Naxalites to stop violence, Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram asserted that Operation Green Hunt will continue until they give in. he was interacting with reporters at Kolkata's Writers' Building on Tuesday.
Having long discussion with the two severely affected states Chief Ministers West Bengal and Orissa, Buddhadev Bhattacharee and Naveen Patnaik, respectively, he briefed the media.
In the sequence he also met the with the chief ministers of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren who were not present at the meeting, attended by their representatives later.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram made comment over the progress of operations against the Naxals by saying that it cannot be measured like scores in a cricket match, as the security officials have achieved considerable success and some key Naxal leaders have been apprehended in the last three months.
He affirmed that some decisions have been made and they will be implemented on his return to capital.
