Sex racket busted in Goa
Panaji: Crime Branch sleuths busted a sex racket with the arrest of five people, including operator of a discotheque, in a raid at Candolim in north Goa.
Eleven girls, who were brought here from Mumbai, after being promised jobs, were rescued by police. According to crime branch officials, on a tip-off, a police team entered the Ferros Dent Discotheque at Candolim at 2200 hours last night and found the 11 half-naked girls, dancing with five customers, three from Goa and one each from Karnataka and Maharastra.
Asish Joglekar, based in Mumbai, who was running the joint, was arrested alongwith four other employees of the disco.
A case was registered and investigations are in progress, police added.
