New Delhi: STAR PLUS’s new TV serial 'Tere Mere Sapne' lead Sarju played by Saurabh Pandey, is a migrant from a small town of Uttar Pradesh who is all set to make it to the big city of dreams Mumbai. In his chase to fulfill his family’s dreams and his own aspirations he is confronted with a life of unfamiliarity, a life full of hardships &tyranny. While on one hand he is just about coming to terms with life in a big city, he is today taken in by surprise as he learns about the first controversy which the city unfolds for him.
Already anxious about his first visit to Mumbai, Sarju is worried and is in for a rude shock as he learns about the sudden turn of events which happened in Mumbai yesterday when he got to know that there was a brawl that broke out in Rajya Sabha over the issue of our national language and pride - Hindi. He is actually taken by surprise to see this myopic side of a city which is full of opportunities, talent, wisdom and a home for some of the most intelligent minds in the world.
Sarju says “Hamka toh hamesa hi se HINDI se bahut pyaar hai… aur hamar maa –baauji bhi sikhaye rahi ki Hindi hi hamaar matri bhasa hai.. toh phir yeh jhagda kahi Bhaiya? Hum toh inhi logon se yehi kahe rahi… bhai ladai mat kariyo. Apas mein mil jhul ke rahi yo! Mumbai jaisa sehar to mahanagri hai, mayanagri hai, jahan log apne sapne poore karan vaste aaye rahi, hum choton seher se hai, par hamar sapne bhi baden hai, issiliye isi nagri mein hum an rahi, yaha sabhi logon ko bahut ijjat aur shauhrat millee hai, aur hum bhi bahut mehnat –mashakat se apne aur apne parivaar ke vastein khoob khushiyaan batorne yaha aat rahi…. Toh hum jaisen hajaaron –crorero logon ke sapne jude hain is nagri se..”
So, what happens as SARJU lands in the big city of dreams and disillusions …
