Derive inspiration from Guru Ravidas to eradicate social inequities: President of India

Indian President, Pratibha Devisingh Patil has greeted the nation on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti today.

In her message, the President said, “On the happy occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravi Das, let us recall the services of that saint and reformer who devoted his life to the service of India’s suffering humanity. May we derive inspiration from Guru Ravidas to rededicate ourselves to eradicate social inequities in our society!”

The Chief Minister of Panjab, Prakash Singh Badal, urged people to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidasji by rising above the considerations of caste, creed, colour and religion.
