iPhone 11 is more popular than iPhone XR, Apple may increase its production

Slowly and steadily Apple is getting back in the competition. The credit for the increase in sales goes to the “affordable” iPhone series that the company introduced last year. Last year Apple launched the iPhone XR. This year the Cupertino major launched the follow-up device and called it the iPhone 11. The iPhone 11 series — iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro launched in September this year. Out of the three iPhones, the iPhone 11 has received high demand across the globe including India. The reason for this high demand is most likely for the affordable price it comes with. The iPhone 11 comes with a starting price of Rs 64,900 in India.

According to a latest report from Apple Insider website around 12 million units of the iPhone 11 has sold since the September launch. This means that iPhone 11 sales have gone up by 15 per cent when compared to the iPhone XR sales. The number has been predicted by Jun Zhang of Rosenblatt Securities. Zhang further predicts that Apple will increase the iPhone 11 production by around 1.6 million units.

The increase in the sales of the iPhone 11 means the demand for the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max is lower than expected. Zhang predicts that the sales of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max has gone down by 15 per cent when compared to the sales of the Phone XS and iPhone XS Max. Zhang also says that the production of the iPhone 11 Pro Max will go down by around 2 million units approx.
