Yesterday’s big news was related to the price of gas cylinder. On Tuesday, just before Diwali, the government has increased the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders by more than Rs 100. Apart from this, the government has collected Rs 1.72 lakh crore from Goods and Services Tax i.e. GST in October 2023. This is 13% more than a year ago i.e. October 2022.

There is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel even today. At present, petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 96.72 per liter while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 per litre. Whereas in Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 106.31 and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre.
