For a second day in a row, the numbers of Covid-19 patients discharged from hospitals across Chhattisgarh was more than the fresh positive cases found on Friday. Also, a man detected Covid positive died at the AIIMS Raipur.
According to Health Department, 156 patients were discharged from various hospitals while 89 fresh coronavirus positive patients were found in different districts.
Jashpur was the hotspot on Friday with 39 patients found in the district. Fourteen patients were detected each in Raipur and Durg, 5 each in Raigarh and Rajnandgaon, 4 each in Baoda Bazar and Balrampur, 3 in Kawardha and 1 in Surguja.
A 38-year-old male patient from Chapa was admitted on June 20 in AIIMS Raipur and diagnosed with ruptured liver abscess with septic shock, kidney involvement with abdominal pain with deranged liver function and Covid-19 positive. Despite operative management and the best efforts by expert doctors, his condition deteriorated and he succumbed to his illness on Friday at 1 pm, an official press release from AIIMS Raipur said. This is the 13th death due to coronavirus in Chhattisgarh.
