The organisation of Pakistani Hindus claim those who are missing from the city are mostly non-Hindus, and those who are believed to be overstaying without visa or missing are mostly non-Hindus.
As the Hindus normally apply for extension and for long-term visa, further says the organization.
According to a report, presently there are around 4000 applications for either long term visa or permanent citizenship, and these issues are still pending with the government,” Bhagwandas Sabnani, state president of Bhartiya Sindhu Sabha said,
Bhartiya Sindhu Sabha is a group of Hindus who have migrated from Pakistan.
Appreciating the Indian law, Sabnani says, “Even after a long queue, if anyone faces visa expiry, everyone from the community and the officials helps the family to apply and procure the long term visas. But still there are many who are waiting for the LTV.”
“The invasion has increased after the government has shown positive attitude towards Hindus migrating from Pakistan and all these migrants don’t go missing, they follow to law on the land are seen living peacefully,” adds Sabnani.
The official figures informs that there are more than 550 Pakistani nationals presently putting up in Bhopal on long term visa.
