C’garh plays lead role in devpt: CM

Chhattisgarh is playing a leading role in various fields including infrastructure development, cleanliness and procurement of forest produce, and this is now recognized at the national level, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Thursday.

He was addressing a public gathering after inauguration of construction works of Rs 41 crores in the Municipal Corporation Bhilai-Charoda, an official statement said.

He announced to upgrade the mini stadium of Bhilai-3 as a full-fledged stadium at a cost of Rs 10 crores, construction of a seating stand at the football stadium Charoda and more seats in the Swami Atmanand English Medium School.

The state government was working to bring changes in both the rural economy and enhancing infrastructure in urban areas, Baghel said.
