Chhattisgarh Congress leaders hail party manifesto

State Congress leaders hailed election manifesto of the party released by its president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in his comment on tweeter handle said that they were going to fulfill each of the promises made in the manifesto to “make a better India.”

“Ham har wada nibhayenge, behtar Bharat banayenge”, he said, praising the inclusion of Nyuntam Aay Yojana that promises to pay Rs 72000 per annum to 20% poor population of the country. Baghel in his tweet also hailed other poll promises such as filling up of 22 Lakh vacant posts in Central government departments, allocation of 6% budget for education and strengthening of government health services.

Panchayat and health minister T.S. Singhdeo in his tweet said the manifesto included development issues of each and every section of the society in the country. “Every poor household, every farmer, each section of the society finally has a reason to rejoice”, he said.

He said the long-standing problem of begging would finally be resolved. “It is now time for social equality and empowerment”, he further added.
