To mark Rath Dooj on Monday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel worshipped Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Mata Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra and performed customary rituals here. Baghel offered the prayers for the prosperity and health of the people in the state, said an official communication. He said the history of Bastar is inextricably linked with Lord Jagannath. In 1408, King Purushottamdev of Bastar went to Puri to get the blessings from Lord Jagannath. Baghel urged the people to wear masks, maintain social distance and use sanitizers during the Rath Yatra festival.
