In a perfect example of sheer detemination, a 26-year-old farmer from a village in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh has ensured his younger brother becomes a civil engineer.
According to a report, the farmer was earlier unemployed with no fixed earnings and it was his brother, Ramesh’s goal of becoming a civil engineer that made him choose farming.
As a result, Umesh worked hard on his barren land and succeeded in cultivating green chillies on it with the help of NABARD’S Wadi Yojana.
The farmer, Umesh, even set up a kitchen garden to earn money during off season.
This determination of Umesh fuelled his brother’s dream and he, today, stands tall as a graduate in engineering from Lakhanpur Engineering College.
