India vs Australia Score, 2nd ODI: Can Virat Kohli & Co. avoid another series defeat against Aussies?

Hello and welcome to our Live cricket score and updates of the 2nd ODI between India and Australia at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Aaron Finch-led Australia kicked off the three-match series a brilliant note as the tourists thrashed Virat Kohli’s star-studded side by 10 wickets in the 1st ODI played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Australia, who had defeated India 3-2 when they last toured India, looked unstoppable in the previous game – where Finch and David Warner hammered unbeaten tons to crush the hosts.

Kohli’s decision to tinker with his batting position, in order to fit both Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul in the playing XI, was heavily criticised and the Indian captain, in all likelihood, will be back to his preferred spot – the No. 3 position. Rahul has been in fine form for India in white-ball cricket lately and it remains to be seen whether he would bat at No. 4, or will Shreyas Iyer – who batted at No. 5 in the previous match, will also resume batting at No. 4.

Indian bowlers also need to step up the gas after being smashed all over the park by Australia’s opening pair in Mumbai.
