Madhya Pradesh Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is all set to inaugurate a scheme on August 8 to provide smartphones to students enrolled in 2014-15 in state government’s higher education institutes and having 75 per cent attendance.
The MP government had decided to provide smartphones to regular students of undergraduate colleges who have minimum 75 per cent attendance as part of promotion of e-learning in its institutes, says a TOI report.
MP government to distribute smartphones to college students from next month
Smartphones will be provided to the 2014-15 batch in August, the students of 2015-16 batch in September.
The state government has decided to distribute nearly 3.75 lakh smartphones, each costing Rs 2,500.
