Raipur : No new COVID patient has been found in any of the five districts of Durg division on August 15, and not a single new case of COVID-19 has been reported in 12 districts of the state on this day. The average rate of COVID infection in the state is currently at 0.28 percent. None of the samples tested on August 15 in Durg, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Bemetra, Kabirdham, Gariaband, Mungeli, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Koriya, Surajpur, Balrampur-Ramanujganj and Narayanpur districts were found COVID positive. On this day, only one death due to COVID-19 was reported in the state. There is a steady decline in the number of active COVID cases, as the patients diagnosed earlier are recovering and while the the number of new cases found per day is decreasing considerably. The number of active patients in the state at present is 1295.
