Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said increase in power consumption in the state was a good indicator and was a sign of development.
Talking to reporters here before leaving for Bilaspur, Baghel said the increase in power consumption showed that agriculture and industries were progressing in the state.
The states which are power surplus but are unable to use the power generated by them are actually poor states, he said.
Baghel hit out at the BJP, saying it doesn’t know how to accept a difference in opinion. Different political parties have different ideologies and the party in power should honour their difference, he said.
The BJP was crushing the opposition which was not a good sign, he said.
There was every possibility that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (IT) departments would again raid leaders in Chhattisgarh after the elections in the five states end, he added.
