BJP national vice-president and former chief minister Raman Singh launched a personal attack on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday and said he (Baghel) was the only serving CM in country who was arrested by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and is at presently on bail.
Singh while talking to media persons here at Swami Vivekanand airport before proceeding for election campaign to Bastar was reacting to the allegations of Baghel that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accusations against the Chhattisgarh government at a public meeting in Balod district was a pack of lies.
Singh termed the public rally of Prime Minister at Balod, Rs historic’ and said that the rally had created a positive atmosphere in favour of the BJP.
“The BJP cadres have been recharged with the Prime Minister’s public meeting in Balod on Saturday and it was not less than a charisma that more than 20,000 people were standing outside the tent to listen to the Prime Minister”, he claimed.
Commenting on raid at locations of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Singh said it was a normal process and the raid had nothing to do with politics.
Replying to a query that Chandigarh based laboratory had denied Chhattisgarh government to probe Antagarh tapes, Singh said it was an initial setback and further more shocks it had to observe when the matter would be brought before the court, he said.
