Strict punishment to criminals who shame humanity, says Chief Minister

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that strictest action should be taken in the recent crimes against women in some districts. Follow-up of such cases should be done continuously to take the demons who have committed inhuman and heinous acts to the gallows. Chief Minister Chouhan held a meeting with senior police officers today regarding the incidents in Indore, Sehore, Gwalior and Shivpuri.

Chouhan directed for strict action against the culprits on yesterday’s incident in Indore. The Chief Minister said that the action against the culprits should not be limited to arrest only. Senior police officer of Indore Rural informed that 5 people have been arrested in this case. The Chief Minister directed to immediately charge-sheet in the case and take the matter to the fast track court. Taking a serious stand on the Sehore incident also, The Chief Minister said that the culprits should be punished through fast track court. He discussed the incident of December 27 with the police officers of Gwalior. Three persons have been arrested in this case. Directions were also given to forfeit the truck used in the crime and also to file an FIR against the owner of the truck. The Chief Minister directed the Superintendent of Police, Shivpuri, for the strictest punishment against the guilty in the incident of crime committed by the family on a girl child in the district.

The Chief Minister said that the incident in Indore is an incident that shames humanity. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also asked to confiscate the property of criminals. The Chief Minister directed to take action through fast track courts, including the four cases in the category of identified crimes.

Chouhan described the death of a young woman in Ujjain due to a Chinese manjha used for kite flying as tragic. He said that strict action should be taken against those who use banned manjha. Keep an eye on its sale and use at any place in the state and control the use of this material which proves to be lethal. Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Vivek Johri, Officer on Special Duty of Chief Minister’s Office Yogesh Choudhary were present in the meeting.

Now the benefits of Vaccine Dose, Booster Dose and Precaution Dose are being given to health workers and such senior citizens who are suffering from other ailments, along with youngsters in the age group of 15 to 18 years. In the state, 40 lakh 75 thousand adolescents have been vaccinated and 3 lakh 70 thousand elderly people have been vaccinated. In Madhya Pradesh, the work of vaccination has been done well in each category.

Chouhan said that it is possible to avoid infection in the third wave only by adopting Covid appropriate behavior. He advised citizens to take advantage of the Suraksha chakra of the vaccine and follow all precautions.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan urged all political parties, religious leaders, social organizations and members of Crisis Management Group at every level to cooperate in the vaccination work.

Herculean task and Public Safety

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that while Prime Minister Shri Modi took the lead for Corona control, our health workers, ASHA and Anganwadi workers worked tirelessly by crossing fields, barns, hills, river ponds and vaccinating and saving the lives of citizens. All of them deserve praise. Our country cannot forget their services. Along with this, members of Crisis Management Group, religious leaders, members of political parties have ensured public participation in 11 campaigns conducted in Madhya Pradesh. Vaccination ensures that the infection does not become fatal. Only 3 or 4 percent of the total positive cases are being admitted to the hospital.

CM Shri Chouhan’s appeal to citizens

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appealed to the citizens to cooperate in getting the vaccine to those who are left out. Identify eligible people who have not been vaccinated at ward, panchayat level in door to door campaigns. This is a powerful means of protection. Adopt Covid appropriate behavior. The number of infected may increase in the third wave, so do not skip precautions such as use of face masks, avoiding crowds, maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently. It is also the duty of every citizen. Do follow the precautions that have been mentioned for home isolation as well. Covid care centers have started in the state. Oxygen plants are also functional. Despite these arrangements, attention has to be paid to all measures to prevent infection.
