The scope of investigation of the Ziram massacre reached the former CM Dr Raman Singh

Bhupesh Sarkar of Chhattisgarh has increased the scope of investigation of the Ziram Valley case. With the formation of SIT to investigate the Ziram Valley attack six years ago in the state, the state government has once again extended the term of the judicial inquiry commission. Also, the scope of the inquiry commission has reached the former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh.

The State Government has added 8 new points in the Ziram investigation case. Also, Justice Prasanta Mishra, who is investigating the case, has extended the term of the judicial inquiry commission for the 13th time. In the investigation, those new points have been included, which also includes the role of the Unified Command. The Government also wanted to know the role of Unified Command during the Naxalite Operation and especially during the TCOC period, the duty of Chairman of Command. Also, the judicial commission has been asked to tell whether the then chairman of the Unified Command did the right to discharge his duties or not.

It has also been asked to know the terms of the agreement between the Maoists and the government for the release of IAS Alex Paul Memon. Because the Chief Minister is the President of the Unified Command and Dr. Raman Singh was the Chief Minister of the state at the time of the incident. Therefore, due to the involvement of this point in the investigation, Raman Singh has also come under the scrutiny and he can also be called to file a statement. In this case, Chief of the Communication Department, Shailesh Nitin Trivedi alleged that during the previous government, Ziram case was not investigated properly. Therefore, it should be checked right now.

Naxalites had killed the then Congress state president Nandkumar Patel, former Union minister Vidyacharan Shukla, former minister Mahendra Karma, including veteran Congress leaders.
