Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan starrer Dostana is everyone’s favourite till date. Now, after eleven years of it’s release, Tarun Mansukhani’s directorial is finally up for a sequel. Fans have been demanding a second part of the movie since a long time and now their wish will finally be fulfilled. As soon as Karan Johar shared a video hinting towards Dostana 2 yesterday, people started speculating on what the interesting star cast would be. The expectations are high after looking at the trio of Priyanka, John and Abhishek rocking in the first installment.

However, this time, it looks like it will be 2 women and one man instead of the original. The final announcement about the hinting video will be made today. Kartik Aryan and Janhvi Kapoor have been roped in to play two out of three leading stars. According to a source, the third co star is a debutant. “The film follows a similar template as the original Dostana with humour woven in the screenplay. However, the subject of homosexuality will be tackled with sensitivity. The film will go on the floors by the year-end will hit the theatres in 2020,” the source revealed.

Apart from this, Kartik recently wrapped up shooting for Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. He is currently busy in working on Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2 opposite Sara Ali Khan. While Janhvi will next be seen in the biopic Kargil girl, playing the role of the first female Indian Air Force combat pilot and first female Shaurya Chakra recipient Gunjan Saxena. Veteran actor Pankaj Tripathi will be seen playing Janhvi Kapoor’s father in the biopic.
