Raipur sways to Bollywood numbers at KK live concert

Raipur had a Bollywood treat on Saturday night, when popular playback singer gave a stirring performance at a concert at Purkhoti Muktangan.
Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, made his name in playback singing with ‘Tadap-Tadap ke’ from the film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, and went on to become one of the most versatile singers in Bollywood.
“I started singing in 1996 and this is my 20th year as a singer” KK told the audience.
The 48-year-old singer was greeted with a loud cheer upon his arrival.
“Good evening, Raipur. The roads of Naya Raipur are attractive and the weather in Raipur is quite pleasant. It is because of you guys that I am here, otherwise what would I be doing here alone?” KK said.
His fans from all age groups from the city and around gathered at the concert to enjoy the musical extravaganza, a TOI report read.
Younger crowd, a lot closer to the stage, danced and sang along with the singer, who performed songs like ‘Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai’, ‘Mera Pehla-Pehla Pyaar’ and ‘Yaaro Dosti’.
KK also performed ‘Zara Si’ from the movie ‘ Jannat’ on demand from the audience.
The artist did not limit himself to the stage. He interacted with the crowd, and shook hands with fans near the stage, and also dedicated songs to them.
