Shahid Kapoor’s Twitter and Instagram has apparently been hacked. Two tweets on his Twitter timeline on Thursday and three posts on Instagram hint at anger stemming from the film Padmaavat’s portrayal of Allauddin Khilji as a barbaric conqueror.
In the pinned tweet on his timeline, signed Ayyildiz Tim, the message seems to suggest that Padmaavat’s portrayal of Khilji – he was played by Ranveer Singh in the film – was unfair. Translated, the Turkish text reads, “King Alladdin the rope was not a barbarian, animal and dishonest man as you have demonstrated! (sic)”
On Instagram, in addition to changing Shahid’s profile picture, the hackers have also posted an old painting of Khilji. In two videos posted on Twitter—one with the caption ‘We will win’ and another with the caption ‘We just started’, both accompanied by the Turkish flag—the hackers posted a song, and a video of their other conquests, including what appears to be US President Donald Trump.
In a fourth tweet, the hackers shared the Ek Tha Tiger song, Mashallah, with the caption, ‘I love you Katrina Kaif.’ In the fifth tweet, they shared a song from Raj Kapoor’s movie, Awaara.
Shahid’s wife, Mira Rajput, gave birth to their second child – a boy – on Wednesday, and the actor is expected to make an announcement regarding that very soon. In the past, actors such as Hrithik Roshan and Anupam Kher have also had their social media accounts hacked.
