The soundtrack in question is ‘Ek chumma tu mujhko udha de de, badle mein sara Bihar lele’ from the film Chote Sarkar. Back in the day, the song was a big hit.
Shilpa and the others have been accused of downplaying Bihar and promoting vulgarity. The case was filed by advocate M M Tiwari at Pakur court.
A non-bailable warrant was issued against Shilpa, Govinda, director Vimal Kumar, singers Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, songwriter Anand Milind and music composer Rani Malik on May 5, 2001.
Mumbai police commissioner many a times ordered all of the eight to be present at the court, however they never showed up.
Considering this as contempt of court, the police commissioner has sent another reminder to the accused. An arrest warrant was issued in their names on July 20, 2016.
