Sushmita Sen on adopting her daughters: The wisest decision I made at the age of 24 was to become a mother

Whenever Sushmita Sen posts a photo/video on social media, she immediately gets a lot of attention for the simple reason that this Main Hoon Na actress is a diva and her fans love to see her pictures. From posting loved-up pictures with beau Rohman Shawl to family pictures with her daughters- Alisha and Renee, fans totally love it. A few days back, Sushmita had gone to Armenia for a family vacation and social media was burning hot with Sush and Rohman’s social media PDA.

Now, during a recent interview, Sushmita Sen opened up about her daughters and how she feels surreal to become a mother because every second picture on Instagram features her daughters and needless to say, Sush’s bond with her kids is magical, “In the natural birth, the mother and the child connect through the umbilical cord but in adoption, the mother and the child are connected by this higher power, a connection that you cannot cut off. I have had the privilege of experiencing it twice. To become a mother who has given birth from the heart. I have not missed a day of feeling the joy of motherhood,” the actor said.

When Sushmita was all of 24, that is when this Former Miss Universe embraced motherhood for the first time and Sushmita Sen says that she is extremely proud of her 24-year-old self for making ‘the wisest decision’ to adopt. “The wisest decision I made at the age of 24 was to become a mother. It stabilised my life. People think it was a great act of charity and wonderful action but it was self-preservation. It was me protecting myself,” informed Sush. Although Sushmita was at the top of her career when she was 24 and as much as it was a tough decision to adopt a child at the early age but Sush did it with a smile on her face. “Being an actress is a challenging job. It is a very self-centered job. You have to be all about yourself. Your vanity has to be at its highest for you to be successful. But I am proud of the 24-year-old because I could have delayed the process, ignore the calling but I didn’t do that,” Sen said. In a recent interview, Sushmita Sen opened up about her wish to come back to films and she even said that soon, her fans will get the big news. Plus, she also playfully mentioned how she is trying to convince Farah Khan to make a sequel to Main Hoon Na featuring Shah rukh Khan. In an interview, Sush was quoted as saying, “Yes, it’s a long break and I am coming back to films and the announcement will come soon,” says Sushmita, signing off.
