On Thursday afternoon, Tanushree Dutta invited the media to talk about the controversy that has erupted over her claims of harassment on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ in 2008. The actress started off the interaction by saying that she has spoken about whatever had happened a decade back, and she has already recapped the sequence of events even in recent interviews.
Tanushree reiterated the fact that she was harassed by Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, and workers of Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and producer Sami Siddiqui and director of the film Rakesh Sarang. She said, “They made me go through hell and till today, no one has condemned their actions. Many big stars like Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor continue to work with Ganesh and Nana. You can’t work with people who harass women and resort to violence with goons. I had to walk away from the industry out of trauma and fear.”
The ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ actress said the only way to curb this menace would be to stop working with them. “Just stop working with them. Maybe you are not compassionate with what is happening to me, but if someone is complaining, listen to them. What is the point of creating such fake, bogus associations who don’t do anything for you?”
