Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan were in the US for a very important family reason. The couple were there to drop son Aryan Khan at the University of Southern California where he will be doing his graduation.
SRK and Gauri attended an orientation programme at the university and also met a lot of fans and posed for pictures. The whole family was there to cheer Aryan before he starts his higher education. Waiting for SRK at the university were his legion of fans. He gamely posed for images with the groups and even Gauri got selfies clicked.
Shah Rukh later tweeted, “At USC so many lovely young boys and girls. So many hugs. So many selfies. Thanks for the ‘crowded’ welcome. Fight on kids and rule.”
Earlier, divulging how he is training his son before he starts his formal education in films, SRK had said, “I am showing Aryan a lot of films because he will be going to a film school now. I have made a folder which has all the great English classics like The Untouchables, Goodfellas and Michael Douglas’ Falling Down. For the moment, I am showing him English films. I have also made another folder that has Hindi classics like Sholay, Do Aakhen Barah Haath and Devdas — both Dilip Saab’s and mine. I want him to see more films and he does watch a lot of films including mine.”

When asked if Aryan would follow his legendary footsteps and become an actor in future, SRK said, “For the moment, my kids are following my footsteps as far as education goes. I had done my masters and my kids are pursuing their graduation. As far as following my footsteps as an actor is concerned, it is up to them what they want to do and I will be happy with whatever their decision is.”
