Udta Punjab row: Bombay High Court to hear the plea against Censor Board today

MUMBAI: The censorship controversy on ‘Udta Punjab’ is boiling over. Now, the makers of the film have approached the Bombay High Court against the Censor Board’s ruthless chopping. The hearing is scheduled to take place at 3 pm today.
Anurag Kashyap, one of the most vocal celebrities, who’s production house Phantom films along with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Posters produced the Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer film conducted a small press conference last night with the media after being enraged with CB’s decision.
“I don’t think that removing Punjab from Udta Punjab title is acceptable to any of us. They have asked us to remove the city names, they have asked us to remove MLA, MLC. All these things are told to us in person. He’s not putting it on paper. The moment he puts those things on paper, we have the option to go on a trial,” said Kashyap.
