Congress to Replace BJP in Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh: Survey

New Delhi, Aug 13: The Congress party will register a victory in the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh but Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s popularity will help the party to bounce back in the three states in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls next year, predicted a survey conducted by ABP News and C-Voter. One of the major findings of the survey was that the people are ready to see a change in the states but not at the Centre as 53.8 per cent people believe there is no other leader like Narendra Modi to lead.

The ABP-CVoter survey predicted that the Congress party would win the majority by a huge margin in all the three poll-bound states. The grand old party is predicted to win 117 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 130 of 200 in Rajasthan and 54 of 90 in Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, the BJP may bag 106 in MP, 57 seats in Rajasthan and only 33 in Chhattisgarh, the opinion poll said. Even though the BJP is predicted to be decimated by the Congress in the assembly polls, survey for 2019 polls tells a different story.

Here’s the break-up of the survey conducted in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh ahead of the assembly polls:
Rajasthan

The Congress is predicted to win a total of 51 per cent seats against BJP’s 37 per cent. In 2013 Assembly Elections, BJP had won 163 seats out of 200 but in 2018 polls, it may have to manage with only 57 seats. Congress will make a comeback with 130 seats. The other parties would manage 13 seats.

Madhya Pradesh

The findings revealed that nearly 42 per cent people believe that Shivraj Singh Chouhan is still the best man to lead Madhya Pradesh, followed by Jyotiraditya Scindia. However, the incumbent CM may not be given another chance as the BJP, which had won 165 in 2013 assembly polls, might just have to settle at 106. Congress, however, may emerge as the winner with 117 seats.
