Monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Assembly ends

The monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly ended on Tuesday.
After the listed business of the day, including several call attention motion notices, Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal adjourned the House sine die this evening.
The monsoon session had a total of seven sittings since July 11, during which notices of as many as 1199 questions were received out of which670 were starred questions and 529 unstarred.
Of this,62 questions were discussed, Agrawal said.
Total of 308 call attention motion notices were received of which 85 notices were accepted.
During the session, 191 notices of adjournment motions were received, of which, 37 notices on a single issue were rejected after taking statements. Another 154 notices were rejected in the chamber, Agrawal added.
The next, wintersession, is likely to be called in the first or second week of December 2016, he added.
