Congress MLA Rita Bahuguna Joshi’s brother Vijay on Monday rejected speculations about his sister joining BJP ahead of UP Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Raj Babbar said,”We have heard reports of Rita Joshi quitting congress but we shall inform you as an when we get any information about her status.”
She had led the party in the last Assembly polls in the state in which Congress came a poor fourth.
UP will go to polls next year and Congress had this time around projected former Delhi CM Sheila Diksht, another brahmin leader as CM candidate.
Bahuguna’s brother and former Uttarakhand CM Vijay Bahuguna had earlier this year defected from the Congress with nine MLAs in the hill state which led to the imposition of President rule in the state.
