BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the government will create 100,000 jobs in a month. The jobs would be created in government organisations as well as in private companies, he said.†
It was because of the ministersí continuous work in districts that overwhelmed the coronavirus, Chouhan said.
Now that the second wave of the pandemic is over, the state has to work to keep the third wave at bay and even if the virus enters the state, its impact should be minimal, the Chief Minister said.
The third wave of the coronavirus may begin in three or four months, he said, adding that the government had a strategy to lessen the impact of the third wave.
If the corona protocols are not followed, the third wave will cause more destruction, he warned.
According to him, it is because of the pandemic that the growth has almost stopped. In the coming days, the government is to focus on generating employment, education and on promoting welfare of each community, he said.
A three-day mega drive for vaccination will be launched between July 1 and 3, he said. As part of the campaign, the ministers will appeal to people to get vaccinated, Chouhan said.†
The Chief Minister made the statement at a meeting with his cabinet colleagues in Graces Resort, Sehore. All ministers were present at the meeting.
Strategy for third wave
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said testing would continue in villages to control the virus. It should be ensured that more than 75,000 people are vaccinated. Anyone afflicted with the virus should be identified and treated, he said.
He also said that the government had begun to develop infrastructure to handle the third wave.
According to Chouhan, medical experts have observed that the third wave might affect children more than the people of other groups.
Education in schools, colleges
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said that the government was mulling over how to continue education in schools and colleges under the corona-induced condition.
Covid-19 protocols violated
The government has imposed certain restrictions to check the Covid-19, but all protocols were violated at the meeting.
According to the state governmentís guidelines, rule of six has been implemented, which prohibits gathering of more than six people at one place.
But more than 100 people gathered at the venue, because the ministersí assistants were also present there.
Apart from that, there are restrictions on organising any events in hotels and resorts, but the law-makers themselves broke that law.
