Amid a dazzling light and fire show, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday inaugurated the work of renovation, beautification and infrastructure development of Maa Kaushalya temple at Chandrakhuri near Raipur.
It is the first tourist spot developed under the Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit. The other 74 will be developed over several phases.
On the occasion, Baghel also unveiled a 51-foot tall magnificent statue of Lord Ram, built at the entrance of the temple premises.
The Chief Minister prayed and performed the rituals to Maa Kaushalya and Lord Ram at the ancient temple.
Ministers Tamradhwaj Sahu, Mohammad Akbar, Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Dr. Shivkumar Daharia, Anila Bhediya, Amarjeet Bhagat and Kawasi Lakhma as well as Rajya Sabha member Chhaya Verma were among those present.
