The Chhattisgarh government has decided to bear all the education expenses of Rahul Sahu, the 11-year-old boy who survived after battling for life inside a borewell for over 105 hours before being rescued on Tuesday night.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who has been monitoring the rescue operations even from Delhi, rushed to the hospital soon after returning from the national capital on Wednesday. He met Rahul and his family members before taking a briefing from the doctors about his health condition.
The Chief Minister on this occasion announced that the state government would bear the education expenses of Rahul. It will also bear the medical expenses of the brave boy, from whom struggle was not new.
By birth, he had some medical issues that obstructed his normal activities, but Rahul didn’t give up.
Despite being dropped from the school, he learnt playing “tabla” and “dhol”. Rahul also rides bicycle and is also expert in swimming.
Rahul had accidentally fell into a borewell in Pihrid village of Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa district and was stucked 60-feet beneath on last Friday.
