Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly on the path of development, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel declared on Monday.
This was the dream and visions of Chhattisgarhi leaders including Dr. Khoobchand Baghel, he said at a virtual programme organized on Dr. Baghel’s birth anniversary, an official statement said.
Dr Baghel was a freedom fighter and the first to envision a Chhattisgarh state, he added.
The programme was organized by the Department of Archaeology and Culture at the Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum. Baghel felicitated Dr Baghel’s family members and successors of freedom fighters with shawls, ‘shriphal’ and memento.
The Chief Minister described Dr Baghel as a skilled politician as well as a litterateur, social reformer and freedom fighter. Throughout his life, he fought against injustice, tyranny and exploitation in society.
Baghel said Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly keeping in mind the interest of every section.
He said that important schemes such as Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana were being run to strengthen the rural economy.
